If you have not done so already, go download and install SuperDuper! IMMEDIATELY. BEST. BACKUP. SOFTWARE. ON. ANY. PLATFORM. EVER!Then go buy another HD for backup of your photo HD. Use SuperDuper! to sync your two HDs.
